Manchester United fans have expressed their happiness with the club’s fall in the recently published Forbes ranking of top sports brands in the world. This shows the club is in the wrong hands.
United fell to sixth place and are in huge debt much to the displeasure of the fans who have questioned the position of Executive Vice-Chairman, Ed Woodward. The fans have fired scathing attacks on the Glazers family and also on Woodward.
Here are their tweets:
@VRoonaldo tweeted: “The Glazers will definitely sale United,I’d say within a year.”
@Shezzy_10 tweeted: “Glazers must be slapping themselves. Good”
@utd_cloud tweeted: “I’m actually happy reading this. Woodward will realise that he has to do something.”
A supporter seems to know who to blame for United’s fall in the recently published Forbes ranking of top sports brands in the world.
@bawunah tweeted: “We only have the Glazers and Woodward to thank for that.”
@tommyk122 tweeted: “That £25m not spent on Toby A last summer looking a bit silly now eh?”
@dokunpsalm tweeted: “All thanks to the glazers and edwoodward…… Clueless dudes.”
@A96Awsome tweeted: “They’ll continue to drop with those leeches at the helm #GlazersOut. Killing our club”
@dennism71149323 tweeted: “Yeees very good news…let’s drop even to 10th until muppets are out of our club…edwood is stupid man saving coins and killing our club….”
@RishiTheSage tweeted: “This isn’t something to celebrate. Glazers will not leave until the club makes them money to repay their debt. Til that is done, absolutely no chance of anyone buying it off. Unless you have a spare £5 bn lying around that will cover their debt, and allow them to sell at profit.”
