Manchester United academy product Andreas Pereira is keen on finding his perfect position at Man United. Over the years, the youngster has been used as a deep-lying midfielder, a central midfielder and an attacker. In fact, the Brazilian is not bothered about where he is asked to play as long as he does.
On this issue, the player had this to say:
“It’s my time to step up. I’m ready. As a No.8 or a No.10. I can play on the right wing like Becks [David Beckham] used to play, cut inside and get the early cross in. I have a lot to show.”
The player is also keen to help the club improve their position:
“We felt like we were fading away, the training was not as sharp as it had been. There was a lack of concentration. We had a very bad feeling after the last game last season [2-0 home defeat to Cardiff City].
“This season, when we started pre-season, we spoke with the manager. The training sessions are sharper; we have the new young players too. We know what we did wrong and we know what we have to do to improve.”
Pereira played a bit-part role last season at the club, and he’d be hoping for more game time next season.
