Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are looking at Manchester United prospect, Dean Henderson’s progress.
Though, the German side are yet to make any official approach, but they will look to make a move for the player if the player decides to take on a new challenge.
The player was on loan at Sheffield United last season and impressed with his performances. Though he has been a part of United’s preseason, he is still expected to rejoin The Blades on loan for next season.
The goalkeeper’s immediate future hinges on David De Gea’s contract situation. The 22-year-old goalkeeper is viewed as a future No. 1 by United club chiefs and any move for him will be thwarted.
However, Dean is unlikely to go anywhere until the Spanish No.1 signs a new contract
Henderson is highly rated at Old Trafford and reports claim that he is close to agreeing a new long-term deal at the club before going out on a loan return to Sheffield United.
The club had held positive discussions over an improved contract to tie down the highly-rated goalkeeper. His current United deal has just one year left to run.
Part of the negotiations about a new deal have centred on Henderson being allowed to go out on loan once more, this time to a Premier League club, to continue his brilliant development.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explained the reason for this decision:
“Well, at the moment he’s back in England training. He had a 10-day break after he trained for us their first week, he needed a break after the Under-21s.
“Of course, we’re debating whether he should travel and come with us or stay and train in England. I thought maybe it was best for him to come here.”
