Reports have revealed that Manchester United are hoping to convince star player Paul Pogba to stya at Old Trafford and reject interest from Real Madrid by offering the midfielder a new long-term deal.
The Frenchman and his agent Mino Raiola have confirmed the player’s desire to leave the club but Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has vowed to build his side around Pogba.
Super-Agent Raiola claimed Pogba was in the process of leaving the club shortly before they embarked on their tour of Australia but the player reported for preseason training.
Solskjaer and his backroom staff have been pleased with the player’s attitude and commitment on United’s tour.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has suggested his club could finally sign Pogba before the end of August.
When asked about the possibility of Real Madrid signing Pogba this summer, Zidane replied: “We need to respect everybody, but the only thing I can say from the club is we know what we want to do.
“Something could happen before the end of August. We could have some changes.”
