Manchester United are interested in signing Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes but Ed Woodward is reportedly reluctant to pay Sporting’s asking price for the midfielder.
Sporting want over £55million for the 24 year old midfielder who scored 22 goals last season but United are reluctant to meet their asking price.
According to Daily Mail, the Portugal international has been offered to a number of Premier League and European sides but Sporting’s asking price has proved prohibitive.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the midfielder according to Daily Mail but just like United, they are unwilling to pay Sporting’s asking price for the goalscoring midfielder.
Meanwhile, Sporting Witness revealed earlier this month that Fernandes is calm about his future and believes a move to Manchester United will materialise before the end of the transfer window.
United have made two signings already this summer, but Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still looking to bolster his squad with more players ahead of the window closing in a month. Portugal international Fernandes is one of the names on his shortlist.
