Manchester United have reportedly affirmed their interest in Harry Maguire and are keen on signing the player in this summer transfer window.
But Foxes Boss Brendan Rodgers insists the Red Devils are a long way off the Foxes’ valuation of the 26-year-old after two bids submitted.
Despite claims by the Leicester manager that the player is happy at Leicester, ESPN journalist Mark Ogden has been told Maguire is actually keen on this summer’s exit from the King Power Stadium, and has already informed the club and his teammates about his decision.
“Leicester want at least £80m for him, potentially rising to £90m depending if and when they sell him, and United have initially offered £40m for him, so half of what Leicester value him at,” Ogden said.
“I’ve been told United will go higher and believe they’ll get him because Maguire has been telling Leicester and his team-mates he wants to leave.
“But the window shuts on August 8, and I think that is going to run and run.”
