Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi is now a reported target for Manchester United. According to Le Parisien, the Reds have made an enquiry, but will face stiff competition with PSG. The likes of AS Monaco, Lyon, Everton are also interested in the 32-year-old World Cup winner.
Juventus are not interested in sanctioning a sale and the player has a contract until 2020 that could still be extended for one more year.
Matuidi has a year left on his contract and Juve are determined to hold on to the World Cup winner.
Manchester United lost Ander Herrera for free at the end of last season as Herrera joined PSG as a free agent.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was desperate to keep Herrera but United were not willing to meet his £300,000-a-week wage demands.
Solskjaer has revealed that United midfielders Andreas Pereira and Scott McTominay are worthy replacements.
When asked about a replacement for Herrera, the Norwegian said: “Andy [Pereira] I expect a lot more from, Scotty [McTominay] I expect a lot more from. Those two between them had maybe 15, 20 starts last season.
“You expect them to have at least 20 each this year, maybe even more. That’s maybe two players into one that can replace Ander [Herrera].”
