Manchester United are eyeing a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Thomas Meunier but according to reports, Arsenal boss Unai Emery has urged his club to beat United to the signing of the Belgian.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly considering a move for the PSG right back after being priced out of a deal for Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to reports, Crystal Palace are demanding £70 million for 21 year old Wan-Bissaka, a fee which has forced Solskjaer to consider turning to PSG’s Thomas Meunier.
According to France Football, Manchester United held fresh talks over a move for the 27-year-old this week but Arsenal have now joined the race to sign the right-back.
It is understood PSG value Meunier at £26.5 million.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery believes he can beat Manchester United to the signing of the defender, having worked with the Belgian during his time as PSG boss.
Meunier suffered an injury-ridden season with PSG, starting only 19 Ligue 1 matches this season.
