Manchester United are unbeaten in their last four league games, and Jose Mourinho’s men have clawed their way up the table from 10th spot to 7th.

United have been doing a lot of comebacks in recent times, and the squad produced a good second-half display to bounce back from a goal down to win the game 2-1.

United now face a difficult week ahead with two difficult away ties to come as a visit to Turin will be followed by a visit to the Etihad to face derby rivals Manchester City.

Chris smalling is hoping United come out of this difficult week with some good results in the Champions League and Premier League.

Smalling said: “We know we’re going into a very tough week now, but if we can come out with some good results, it will be seen as a good month considering it was probably one of our toughest months.

“That would galvanise us and knowing that we’ve had some big games this month and that we’ve gone toe to toe and picked up good results.

“Even going into this [match with Bournemouth] we could see after the international break we’ve got a lot of home games and it was all about this month, making sure we could get results and move up that table despite the tough games.”

Smalling believes the team’s togetherness has been helping the team in recent games, and he hopes it’ll count ahead of this difficult week.

Smalling said: “I think it’s just the togetherness.

“I think we show it every day on the training pitch and it’s just about showing it on a matchday because we players, we get on and we enjoy playing with each other and we just want to express that on a matchday and get it to click.”
