Manchester United winger Anthony Martial has won the Manchester United Player of the Month for October after a wonderful spell the past month.
Martial’s form wasn’t in doubt as he garnered 76 per cent of the vote, ahead of defender Victor Lindelof (16 per cent) and his compatriot Paul Pogba (eight per cent).
Martial had a stellar month in which he scored four goals in four starts and helped United to get wins over Newcastle and Everton, plus a breathtaking draw away at Chelsea.
Martial revealed how important the award was to him as he now seems to have entered into Jose Mourinho’s first team.
“Thank you to the fans who voted me for the Player of the Month,” said Martial, when presented with the trophy at the Aon Training Complex.
“It’s very important for me,” he continued.
“When we’re out there on the field it’s the fans who drive us on, and they’re always there to try and give us that bit extra, even when we might be tired.
”I think they are really important for us and I hope they can continue getting behind us like they are doing currently.”
