Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wasn’t happy with the number of signings made during the summer transfer window as the Portuguese also wanted to strengthen the defence.
According to the Guardian, Mourinho will be backed in the January transfer window should a player who can improve the squad becomes available.
The report claims more than £100 million has been made available for signings when the transfer window opens in January.
With Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford scoring one goal between them in the last nine games, Mourinho is eager to sign a striker in January.
Alexis Sanchez joined Manchester United in the last January transfer window and the Chilean has been a disappointment but that won’t discourage Manchester United from signing a player in January.
Mourinho could also sign a central defender in January after failing to sign one last summer.
