RONALDO SENDS TRIBUTE TO FERGUSON

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford for the second time since his exit from the club as Juventus visited Old Trafford for a Champions League tie.

Ronaldo who’s an iconic figure at the club was well received by the Old Trafford faithful, and he appreciated the fans after the game.

Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 appearances during his time at United, winning three Premier League titles and one Champions League under Ferguson.

Ronaldo also hailed United’s legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson before the game as it was Ferguson who signed him as a youngster.

“I won lots of trophies here, cups, league, Champions League,” Ronaldo said. “I remember the support as well. The support is fantastic.

“Sir Alex Ferguson is someone I will never ever forget and I would like to express my best possible wishes to him.”

After the game, Ronaldo paid tribute to Ferguson again as he met with Fergie and posted the photo on Instagram with the caption: “A great coach and above all a wonderful man.

“Taught me so many things inside and outside the pitch. Great to see you in good shape, Boss!”
