Manchester United have gotten a couple of good players from their league rivals in recent years, and we can all look back to the signing of then Arsenal star Robin van Persie as an extraordinary example –as the Dutchman kept banging the goals to help United win the title in Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season as manager in 2013.
It isn’t only Arsenal that United have hijacked players from, as the club have also signed players from Chelsea – with Juan Mata joining the club three years ago. Chelsea also lost a key player when they sold Nemanja Matic to United last season.
And now, Jose Mourinho has hailed Chelsea star Eden Hazard and has admitted that he will like to sign the 27-year-old at Old Trafford.
Ahead of this afternoon’s clash at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho has revealed that he’ll like to have Hazard in his squad but admitted that Chelsea will never sell their most prized asset.
“I would love to have him at United but I don’t think Chelsea will sell him,” Mourinho said.
“Chelsea is led by intelligent and experienced people and they would never sell Eden to Manchester United.
“He is a nice kid. We had a good relationship. We were champions together.
“He was for the first time the best player in the league with me, so I think the feelings are good.”
