The 2-2 draw between Manchester United and Chelsea was full of drama, and fans were left at the edge of their seats during a pulsating encounter as both teams ended up sharing the spoils.

Chelsea opened the scoring courtesy of Antonio Rudiger in the first half, but United were brilliant in the second half and a brace from Anthony Martial almost gave United the victory before a late goal from Ross Barkley led to a 2-2 draw.

A melee erupted after Barkley’s late equaliser as Maurizio Sarri’s assistant coach Marco Ianni incensed Mourinho when he celebrated in his face following the equaliser.

Ianni celebrated right in front of Mourinho which angered the manager and a brawl ensued as players, coaches and stewards got involved in the melee

Speaking after the game, Mourinho insisted that the matter has been resolved.

He said: “I’m not annoyed with anything. What happened with Sarri’s assistant and Sarri was the first person to come to me and say he would resolve the problem internally with him.

“After that the assistant came to my office and apologised to me. I immediately accept the apology if he means it. I said forget it, because I make mistakes too.

“Forget it, it’s over. He apologised and it’s over.”
