Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic enjoyed his debut season at Old Trafford three campaigns ago as he was on fire for the club and went on to win the Europa League and League Cup title.

Injury made the Swede legend leave the club last season, and the 37-year-old is lighting up the MLS with his club side LA Galaxy.

Ibrahimovic still has an eye on his former club, and he has backed Jose Mourinho to restore the fortunes of Manchester United.

Mourinho is under pressure at Old Trafford and results haven’t gone very well this season as the club has lost three games in the league already.

Zlatan who won titles with Mourinho when he was at Inter Milan and Manchester United has backed the club to give Mourinho time to turn things around.

“He’s special above all because he’s a winner,” Ibrahimovic told BetHard.

“He has this mentality that allows him to do anything to obtain the result he wants.

“He’s a football expert and he reads the matches well. He express himself and has self-confidence in the same way that I do, some call it arrogance, but for me it isn’t.

“I think he has the ability to win there. But a manager is as good as the squad he has, so if the team isn’t good they can’t perform miracles. But I do believe United’s squad is competitive.”
