Manchester United will host Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday evening, and the game has been tagged as a must win for Jose Mourinho’s men.

United are experiencing their worst start to a Premier League season after seven games, as Jose’s men have already lost three games. United are yet to record a win in the last four games in all competitions and two games in the Premier League, and this has mounted a lot of pressure on the team.

Rumours even claim that anything other than a win against Newcastle could lead to the sack of the manager, but former United striker Michael Owen has backed the club to win this game, although he is predicting a tight game with a scoreline of 1-0.

He predicted for BetVictor: “A big week for Manchester United who entertained Valencia in the Champions League midweek ahead of the visit of the Magpies.

“The visitors are yet to win in the Premier League this season and were disappointing against Leicester City at St James’s Park at the weekend.

“Newcastle have only won one of their last 36 games at Old Trafford and they are continuing to struggle in front of goal. I don’t expect to see a goal-fest at the weekend but feel the hosts will just do enough to keep the points in a tight, tense affair.”

Mourinho will be hoping his side get the victory before entering the international break.
