Manchester United have had its worst start in a league season since the inception of the Premier League. Jose Mourinho’s side have already lost three league games this season and has drawn one in just 7 matches.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been put under pressure, with his job reported to be on the line by the media. Reports claim that the manager has had rifts with Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Antonio Valencia and Alexis Sanchez.
Many pundits are calling for Jose to be sacked especially after the 3-1 loss to West Ham, but reports claim Manchester United owners are backing the under fire manager.
However, ESPN claim that the Glazer family have no current plans to sack Mourinho and still believe the Portuguese can turn around the team’s performances and morale.
The Glazers are said to be determined to uphold the values of the club over giving managers time to fix any problems on and off the pitch.
According to the report, the Glazer family are also said to feel that Mourinho’s previous record means that he should be given time to guide the team through their current predicament.
United fans added to the pressure on Tuesday night after United’s goalless draw against Valencia in the Champions League on Tuesday night. Mourinho’s side will look to bounce back from their recent slum this weekend at home against Newcastle.
