Manchester United failed to turn up at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon with West Ham beating the Red Devils 3-1.
Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw described the performance of Manchester United against West Ham as horrendous.
“Obviously at half-time there were a few words and I think it was needed,” Luke Shaw said.
“It was a wake-up and words that have been said before — we need to be moving, we need to concentrate more, we need to want the ball, we need to be playing.
“If you want the truth I think, honestly, it was horrendous.
“We didn’t look like a team that were going to beat West Ham. I think individually and as a team we were awful.
“That’s not good enough. It’s hard to take and we’re sorry for the fans for what they saw. It was not good enough from a team with all the talent we have. That shouldn’t be happening.
“Games like this we should be dominating, showing people why we deserve to play for Manchester United and that didn’t happen. Very, very poor.”
I think Shaw was honest about the team’s performance in the 3-1 defeat to West Ham. The players were poor individually and as a team. Paul Pogba got substituted after 70 minutes and his performance was poor. I think he should put more energy into hitting form for Manchester United and put aside his feud with Mourinho.
