Brazilian midfielder Fred joined Manchester United from Shakhtar Donetsk during the summer, and the 25-year-old has featured in six games so far.
Fred hasn’t yet reached his true potential in the United shirt, but he has shown that he’s indeed a good signing.
Fred got off the mark for his new club in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Wolves at Manchester United.
Fred now believes he is starting to find his feet at Manchester United.
“I’m still adapting to many things and in the previous games I wasn’t playing as well as I was playing before I joined the club,” Fred told MUTV.
“Now I feel much better and to be able to score my first goal was really amazing.”
To celebrate his goal, Fred tucked the ball under his shirt and he has admitted that the goal was dedicated to his soon to be born son.
“I was really happy. I even had the chance to dedicate it to my son that will be born soon.
“This goal was really important to me and I hope is the first of many.”
There’s strong competition in the Manchester United midfield as Fred will have to battle Marouane Fellaini and Nemanja Matic for the two central midfield spots that also has the likes of Andreas Pereira, Ander Herrera and Scott McTominay.
