Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba seem to be having a frosty relationship after the Frenchman criticised the manager’s tactics in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw against Wolves on Saturday.
Speaking after the game, Pogba revealed his displeasure at the manager’s tactics and insisted that the team ought to attack more.
He said: “We are at home and we should play much better against Wolves. When we are at home we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We are here to attack.
“I think teams are scared when they see Man United attacking and attacking. That was our mistake.
“Maybe the attitude should be better and we should play better because, again, we are at Old Trafford and we should just attack and press like we did against Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal last season. When we play like this it’s easier for us.”
Mourinho also revealed that he has stripped Pogba of his captaincy, and according to reports the pair seemed to have been involved in what appeared to be an argument in front of Sky Sports‘ cameras at Carrington. Their argument seems to be about Pogba’s instagram post where he was laughing in the stadium, and it was uploaded after the game.
Mourinho called over press officer John Allen, asking him: “When did Paul post that Instagram?”
However, Pogba defended himself by saying the video was taken before the game and he didn’t intend for it to be posted after the match.
